Who we are
Australia Building Innovations was established in 2023 to give the AIS Group, and its customers, a dedicated building materials and manufacturing company. From the Subic Bay Freeport Zone we fabricate heavy gauge and mild steel, rollform light gauge structural steel, and supply roofing, ceiling, wall, and composite panel systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Manufacturing is only half the story. ABI carries its own engineering capability: structural, civil, and mechanical engineering, GPS surveying, land development, and site assessment. That combination is what lets a customer bring us raw land and leave with a build-ready project supplied from one factory.
We are part of the Australia Innovative Solutions (AIS) Group, founded by Hugh McDougall and grown from the inside out since 2012. Being group-owned means ABI is backed by shared operations, supply chain, project management, and R&D teams, a logistics fleet through IFL, insulation manufacturing through IFI, and turnkey delivery experience through AFI.

Innovative Fibre Industries (IFI) founded in Subic Bay: the start of the group.
Australia Farm Innovations (AFI) established, becoming the group’s turnkey delivery arm.
Australia Software Technology (AST) established.
Australia Building Innovations (ABI) established: steel systems, building products, and engineering.
AIS Group umbrella formed; Innovative Freight & Logistics (IFL) added as the dedicated logistics arm.
